If you’ve been following the blog for the last few years, you know we like to highlight tools that have been impactful to our team & clients. There have been a few new additions that are certainly worth checking out:

1) Supermetrics:

What is it? A Google Sheets plugin that automates the pulling of data from many of the top digital platforms (Facebook Ads, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Insights, and many, many more). There are many views & reporting templates already created!

This plugin cut our teams reporting & analysis time by >50%.

If you are looking for a way to pull customized digital data into a automated report – you should check out this tool.

2) Google Data Studio:

What is it? An online report/dashboard creator. With many different data sources already available, Data Studio allows you to create very visual representations of performance data. Plus, if you are a Supermetrics user, many of the data sets they connect to can be pushed to Data Studio, allowing you to create fully automated visual reporting dashboards.

Google Data Studio marketing tools

At the simplest level, you can create a visual performance overview of your website performance via Google Analytics data & the built in template. In more advanced scenarios you can build custom reports for ANYTHING you can get into a google sheet.

Visuals include tables, pie charts, heat maps, scorecard metrics, bar charts, line graphs, and so many more!

The community support around Data Studio is growing & more and more people are contributing incredible templates so that you don’t have to start from scratch.

If you’ve been looking into automated and/or online dashboards or reporting tools and have checked out the market you’ll see that most tools can be QUITE expensive (ahem, Domo). While Domo is extremely versatile, it is often outside the budgets of many small companies.

Using these marketing tools (Supermetrics & Data Studio) together, you can get many of the data points you would want to report on into Google Sheets and into a dashboard with minimal capital investment.

We hope these tools can help you like they’ve helped us!
