4 Reasons Why We Love WordPress

by Kate Neri | Nov 19, 2019

At Syrup we build custom websites on WordPress, a very popular Content Management System (CMS). In fact, according to a survey published by Netcraft, 34% of the internet is powered by WordPress.

34% of the Internet is Powered by WordPress.

And there are a lot of reasons why.

Without getting too technical, I wanted to share a few of the reasons why we love building websites on WordPress (and why it matters to you).

1.  Scalable

Whether you are just starting out or have massive amounts of content, WordPress is built for the small, simple sites, the large, complex sites, and everything in between. When we build custom websites on WordPress we build so that the website can grow as you grow and change as your business changes. Adding more content, a new service, or a new vertical? All of these are possible with how websites are built within WordPress.

2. Easy to Use

The backend of WordPress is incredibly user-friendly, intuitive, and easy to learn. We make sure to organize and build your website in a way that makes sense for you and your business. We also take you through WordPress training after launching your website to ensure you and your team are set up for success for maintaining, updating, and building on your new website.

3. Built for Search

WordPress is built with clean, simple, well-written code that makes it easy for search engines like our friends at Google to read and index website content. Each page, each post, each image can have its own meta tags and descriptions optimized around keywords that are imperative for optimal search engine performance. We also leverage additional plugins to make sure your site is even more of a magnet for search engines, and we optimize each page before launching.

4. Secure

WordPress has an entire team dedicated to the security of its platform. They are constantly making websites more secure, rolling out new core versions to keep websites protected from attacks.

When investing in an important asset like your website, you want to make sure you are getting the best use of your time and money. By building a custom site on WordPress you can count on having a site that can grow with your business, be easily changed as needed, attract folks through SEO, and be secure.
