Get Inspired!

Every once and a while a piece of work is truly inspired. It comes from a mystical land where unicorns and fairies run free.

…but not always. Sometimes you hit the creative wall and when you do, getting creatively unstuck feels impossible. Here are seven ways to shake off the cobwebs and get those creative juices flowing again:

1. Change Your Scenery

Sometimes a new environment can spark new ideas. Take a walk, visit a park, or even switch to a different room in your house.

2. Break the Routine

Break free from your usual schedule. Try doing things in a different order or take a day to explore new hobbies or activities.

3. Talk it Out

Collaboration with others can bring fresh perspectives. Have a brainstorming session with friends, colleagues, or fellow creatives.

4. Try Mind Mapping

Create a mind map to visually organize your thoughts and see connections between ideas you might have missed. This can even be subconscious, simply doodling can help unlock new ideas by engaging a different part of your brain.

5. Consume Different Media

Read a book, watch a documentary, or listen to a podcast outside of your usual interests. New information can ignite new ideas.

6. Take a Break

Walk away and do something else, or clear your mind with meditation or mindfulness exercises. Sometimes, your best ideas come when your mind is calm and clear.

7. Exercise

Physical activity can boost brain function and creativity. Go for a run, hit the gym, or try a yoga session. For me, even taking a walk can get the juices flowing.

Remember, creativity often strikes when you least expect it, so stay open to new experiences and ideas!
